That’s why we provide essential student support services designed with your physical, emotional, and academic health in mind. Our goal is to make it simple and accessible for you to get the care and guidance you need to thrive.

Mental Health Services

At South Georgia Institute (SGI), comprehensive mental health support is included in your student fees — so there are no out-of-pocket costs for care.*

Students can participate in individual and group counseling with licensed mental health professionals and have 24/7 access to virtual counseling services tailored to their personal needs. Our dedicated SGI Care Team, made up of faculty and staff, also works proactively to identify and support students who may benefit from additional guidance and resources. At SGI, we are committed to supporting the whole student — academically, athletically, spiritually, and emotionally.

South Georgia Institute is proud to provide students with access to Albany Area Primary Health Care, Inc. as our trusted healthcare partner. Through this partnership, all traditional and commuter students will receive unrestricted, comprehensive access to quality medical care.

As part of Albany Area Primary Health Care, Inc. network, SGI students are connected to one of the largest healthcare systems in Dougherty County — ensuring professional, reliable, and convenient care.
