South Georgia Institute – Refund Policy
At South Georgia Institute (SGI), we are committed to transparency and clarity regarding all financial obligations. The following outlines our policies on tuition, fees, and other payments.
1. Tuition Payments
Tuition payments are required for enrollment and participation in SGI programs. Refunds for tuition are handled according to the dates and conditions outlined below.
2. Payment Plans
All payments made under a payment plan are non-refundable. Students and parents are encouraged to carefully review the terms of any payment plan before committing, as all payments made through the plan are considered final.
3. Activity and Program Fees
Activity, athletic, and program fees are non-refundable once paid. These fees cover participation in team activities, events, and program support, and are not contingent upon attendance.
4. Housing Fees
Housing fees are refundable only under specific circumstances, such as withdrawal before occupancy. Students are responsible for any unpaid housing charges incurred during their stay.
5. Withdrawal and Refund Requests
-
All requests for withdrawal or refund must be submitted in writing to the Admissions or Business Office.
-
Refunds, if applicable, are calculated based on the date of official withdrawal and the portion of the semester completed.
-
Students attending any part of the term remain responsible for full tuition and associated fees unless explicitly stated otherwise in this policy.
6. Special Circumstances
In rare cases, SGI may review special circumstances for potential adjustments, such as medical withdrawal or administrative error. These cases are handled individually and require proper documentation.
7. Policy Review
SGI reserves the right to update or modify this policy at any time. The most current version of the Refund Policy is available on our website and through the Admissions Office.
