Policies and Procedures Manual Overview and Scope
Overview
The South Georgia Institute (SGI) Policies and Procedures Manual serves as the official repository of institutional policies, administrative procedures, and operational guidelines that govern the conduct of the Institute’s academic, administrative, and student life operations. This manual provides a comprehensive framework for decision-making, compliance, and institutional accountability.
SGI is committed to fostering a learning and working environment rooted in integrity, transparency, equity, and excellence. The manual is intended to ensure consistent interpretation and application of policies across all departments and constituencies—faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders—while supporting SGI’s mission and strategic vision.
All members of the SGI community are expected to familiarize themselves with the contents of this manual and to adhere to the policies and procedures that apply to their roles and responsibilities.
